Colourless

Editor’s Note: The following poem was written by past Defiant staff writer Salomée Levy.

There she was

By the lake

Quietly sitting

Her eyes were sparkling

Like the colors of

The water

She was a gem

A pearl

A sparkling ocean

But inside her mind

There was a hurricane

A tsunami

A thunderstorm

She was torn

She was hurt

Outside she was full

Of color

But inside

Her world was black

And white
