What's the Difference Between Edibles & Smoking Cannabis?

With political leaders finally legalizing cannabis to the public, this comes with pros and cons. Having cannabis more accessible to the public, it decreases the rate of selling it to customers illegally and controls the black market. This however gives people under age more chances to get a hold of it and abuse the substance. One thing we see is the increase rate of edibles being used. Canada's Center for Addiction and Mental Health stated to the public that cannabis is recommended for medicinal reasons and if, in some cases, the public chooses to use cannabis for other reasons it is recommended to use edibles instead of smoking. Burning any type of drug and inhaling it is worse than consuming an edible because the smoke  irritates and inflames the respiratory tract which can hypothetically lead to cancer. CCAMH tells the public about the risks of using cannabis and although edibles are less harmful to the lungs they do however have stronger symptoms rather than smoking.
